About The Gables
Formerly known as the Book Nook, The Gables building in Bloomington, Indiana was a former campus hangout in the early half of the 20th century. In 1927, Hoagy Carmichael wrote his iconic song “Stardust” on an old upright piano at the Book Nook while he was attending IU Law. This Spanish Colonial style building is fondly remembered by generations of Indiana University alumni and the people of Bloomington for its rich history and beauty. BuffaLouie’s has proudly been serving Hoosiers in The Gables building for over two decades, and we welcome you to come visit us to see this historical building and enjoy the World’s Best Wings at BuffaLouie’s at the Gables.
